Lübeck is a beautiful city on the northern coast, also known as the city of the seven spires. Home of the famous Niederegger Marzipan, Lübeck is a delightful area to visit.

ich bin dieses Wochenende in Lübeck. Es ist ein schöner Frühlingstag. Lübeck hat eine sehr schöne Altstadt. Die Altstadt liegt auf einer Insel. Früher gab es hier eine Stadtmauer. Ich gehe durch das Holstentor. Es  ist ein sehr berühmtes Stadttor in Lübeck. Es steht etwas schräg und sieht fast so aus als ob es umfällt.

Ich gehe am Fluss entlang. Rechts von mir ist das Flussufer und dahinter der Fluss. Das Ufer ist nur wenige Zentimeter höher als das Wasser im Fluss. Bei starkem Regen gibt es hier deshalb oft Überschwemmungen. Am Flussufer sitzen Menschen in der Sonne. Neben ihnen hängt nasse Kleidung an einer Wäscheleine. Links von mir ist eine schmale Straße. Hier fährt nur sehr selten ein Auto vorbei. Auf der anderen Seite der Straße stehen bunte Häuser. Die meisten Häuser sind schon mehr als hundert Jahre alt. Zwischen den Häusern sehe ich manchmal kleine Gänge. Ich frage mich, wo die Gänge hinführen.

Ich gehe weiter und setze mich ans Flussufer. Ich möchte immer noch wissen, wohin die Gänge zwischen den Häusern führen. Also gehe ich auf die andere Straßenseite zu einem Haus mit einer blauen Tür. Der Gang neben dem Haus ist nur 1,4 Meter hoch. Ich bin aber 30 Zentimeter größer. Ich mache mich klein und gehe hinein. Über mir sind Bretter aus Holz. Nach 10 Schritten bin ich auf der anderen Seite der Häuser. Ich stehe jetzt in einem kleinen Innenhof, neben einem Tisch mit Stühlen und einem Baum. Vor mir sehe ich ein altes Haus. Auf dem Haus steht 1506. Das bedeutet, es ist schon über 500 Jahre alt. 

Jetzt setze ich mich gleich in die Sonne und lese ein Buch. Ich hoffe, du genießt auch das gute Wetter.

I am in Lübeck this weekend. It is a beautiful spring day. Lübeck has a very beautiful old town. The old town is located on an island. There used to be a city wall here. I walk through the Holstentor. It is a very famous city gate in Lübeck. It is a bit slanted and almost looks like it is falling over.

I walk along the river. To my right is the river bank and behind it is the river. The bank is only a few centimeters higher than the water in the river. Therefore, during heavy rain there is often flooding here. People are sitting in the sun on the riverbank. Next to them, wet clothes hang on a clothesline. To my left is a narrow road. Only very rarely a car passes by here. On the other side of the street are colorful houses. Most of the houses are already more than a hundred years old. Between the houses I sometimes see small passages. I wonder where the passages lead to.

I walk on and sit down on the river bank. I still want to know where the passages between the houses lead to. So I walk across the street to a house with a blue door. The hallway next to the house is only 1.4 meters high. But I am 30 centimeters taller. I make myself small and go inside. Above me are boards made of wood. After 10 steps I am on the other side of the houses. I am now standing in a small courtyard, next to a table with chairs and a tree. In front of me I see an old house. On the house is written 1506, which means it is already more than 500 years old.
