In this episode, a plan goes wrong (as they sometimes do)! Instead of a day trip to the wonderfully ornate palace of Würzburg, Lea spent the day at the hospital! Listen along to the audio to hear more.

es tut mir leid, dass ich unser Treffen absagen muss! Ein Ausflug nach Würzburg wäre toll gewesen. Das Schloss sieht auf Bildern so schön aus, vor allem die Gärten.
Am Donnerstagabend bin ich leider auf der Treppe gestolpert und hingefallen. Ich habe mich am Kopf und am Fuß verletzt. In der Nacht hatte ich starke Schmerzen. Also habe ich meinen Mann gebeten mich in das Krankenhaus zu bringen. Wir hatten aber etwas wichtiges vergessen: Unser Auto war noch in der Werkstatt. Also mussten wir einen Krankenwagen rufen.
Den Rest der Nacht habe ich im Krankenhaus verbracht. Ich wurde untersucht und mein Arzt sagte: “Sie haben eine leichte Gehirnerschütterung und ihr Knöchel ist verstaucht. Es wird Ihnen bald besser gehen. Beim nächsten Mal müssen Sie auf der Treppe vorsichtiger sein. Ruhen Sie sich aus, dann geht es Ihnen morgen besser.”
Am nächsten Morgen konnte ich zum Glück wieder nach Hause fahren. Ich möchte immer noch mit dir das Würzburger Schloss besuchen. Vielleicht können wir unser Treffen im Frühling nachholen? Dann ist das Wetter hoffentlich auch etwas besser. Ich habe gesehen, dass es ein wirklich gutes Restaurant direkt neben dem Dom gibt. Soll ich für uns einen Tisch reservieren?

I am sorry to have to cancel our meeting! A trip to Würzburg would have been great. The castle looks so beautiful in pictures, especially the gardens.
Unfortunately, on Thursday evening I tripped on the stairs and fell. I hurt my head and my foot. During the night I was in a lot of pain. So I asked my husband to take me to the hospital. But we had forgotten something important: Our car was still at the mechanic. So we had to call an ambulance.
I spent the rest of the night in the hospital. I was examined and my doctor said, “You have a mild concussion and your ankle is sprained. You will be better soon. Next time you have to be more careful on the stairs. Get some rest and you’ll be better tomorrow.”
Fortunately, the next morning I was able to go home again. I still want to visit the Würzburg Castle with you. Maybe we can make up for our meeting in the spring? Hopefully the weather will be a little better then, too. I saw that there is a really good restaurant right next to the cathedral. Would you like me to reserve a table for us?
